Brief Biography:

Cornell University (2012-Present), Ph. D. candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering, minor in Computer Science.

Carnegie Mellon University (2010-2012), M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2006-2010), B. S. in Electrical Engineering.

Research Interests:

Biomedical image related analysis such as image segmentation and quantitative measurement. Computer vision.

Current Research Topics:

1. Cardiac segmentation and biomarker measurement from low-dose chest CT scans, such as the segmentation of aorta and heart region and the segmentation and labeling of coronary artery calcification.

2. Lung health assessment including the characterization of lung cancer screening nodules and the identification of early-stage interstitial lung diseases from low-dose chest CT scans.

3. Image analysis involving other types of CT images, such as the segmentation of 3D single cell nucleus and cytoplasm from optical CT microscope images.

4. Image registration between 2D functionally assayed individual neurons and 3D neurons in cleared brain images (supported by Cornell Neurotech Mong Fellowship).
