Undergraduate Projects

The VIA research group supports a small number of undergraduate research projects. Most projects involve developing algorithms for computer vision and require programming with the VisionX software system.

VIA group research projects typically requires a good programming ability (in C) and a basic knowledge of computer vision. Undergraduate students start a project by learning the computer vision and visualization tools that are part of the VisionX system and then a project typically follows the style of an MEng project although the effort may be reduced to a minimum of three credit hours. One way to get the necessary skills is to take ECE 5470 but this is only recommended for seniors and advanced juniors. If you are interested in an undergraduate project connect with A. P. Reeves directly.
