VVESSELDET

VisionX V4
NAME

vvesseldet - discriminates a nodule from a vessel given a 3D structure from a whole lung CT scan.

SYNOPSIS

vvesseldet [if=] [d=] [c=] [xz=] [th=] [-g] [-2d] [-a] [-i] [-d] [-v] [-w] [t=]

DESCRIPTION

vvesseldet discriminates a nodule from a vessel given a 3D structure from a lung CT scan. Either geometrical [-g] or density moment (default) analysis techniques are used for this purpose.

Spherical (or Ellipsoidal depending on the inplane and axial resolution) region is first clipped out by generating a kernel of equal size using either vgsphere [-a] or vgen3d (default). The program outputs the aspect ratios of the three dimensions of the ellipsoids of inertia.

OPTIONS

if=

3D structure sub-image (short type)

c=

3D center point coordinate

xz=

(xyres,zres) in-plane and axial resolution of the nodule candidate subimage

[d=]

diameter of the 3D structure

[th=]

threshold for geometrical moment analysis

[-g]

geometrical moment analysis (the default is density moment analysis)

[-a]

use vgsphere to clip out spherical region of interest (the default is vgen3d)

[-2d]

2d analysis

[-i]

isotropic space

[-d]

save all temporary files

[-v]

selects the verbose mode to print information about intermediate results

[-w]

very verbose option (outputs all commands with their options)

[t=]

directory for temporary files
