VSVERT

VisionX V4
NAME

vsvert − performs vertebrae segmentation.

SYNOPSIS

vsvert if=<image> im=<inmap> of=<outmap> od=<vis> os=<vis> -v -d

DESCRIPTION

vsvert first sets the vertebrae threshold to 300HU to obtain bony structures. Then the pre-segmented bone and ribs are extracted from the input im. Ribs are subtracted from the bone region and the major component in the remaining image is considered as spine. Spinal canal is extracted from the map im. vvrtlbl uses the segmented spine, spinal canal, a processed bone image (vmorph, vop) and a filtered scan image to perform vertebrae segmentation and labeling.

CONSTRAINT

Input file if is the original CT scan. im is a label map with segmented bone including labeled ribs. of is the output image of segmented and labeled vertebrae. od is a visualization of segmented vertebrae with colored rays. os is a visualization of the labeled vertebrae in different colors.
