VHCONT

VisionX V4
NAME

vhcont − constrains the heart region with other organs.

SYNOPSIS

vhcont if=<chull> ig=<aortasternum> top=<hrttop> base=<diaphragm> xyres=<xyres> of=<hrtmap> og=<aortamap>

DESCRIPTION

vhcont applies constraint to heart region based on pre-segmented organs. Heart region starts from top (output from vpvhrt) and ends at base (top of diaphragm). It is also constrained by sternum at the anterior region and by descending aorta at the posterior region. From left and right side, it is constrained by the two lungs and the ribs-sternum convex hull. Heart region also does not overlap with any pre-segmented organs except for part of the ascending aorta.

CONSTRAINT

Input file if the convex hull constructed using segmented ribs and sternum. Input file ig is the pre-segmented aorta and sternum map. top is the heart top based on output from vpvhrt (it is 5mm below the output given by vpvhrt). base is the top of diaphragm. Output file of is the constrained heart region. og is the modified aorta (only ascending) based on heart region.
