VASIZE

VisionX V4
NAME

vasize - estimates the center point and the size of attached nodule candidates

SYNOPSIS

vasize [if=] [ig=] [c=] [xz=] [r=] [rth=] [mr=] [th=] [-t] [k=] [-d] [-v] [-w]

DESCRIPTION

vasize estimates the center point and the size of attached nodule candidates. In the hypothesis generation stage of the attached nodule detection algorithm, nodule candidates are generated and their peak surface voxel coordinates’ and rough size estimates are reported. But, for further false positive elimination, center point coordinates and accurate size of the nodule candidates are needed. This program generates the center point and accurate size of the nodule candidate.

Two localization and size estimation options are available. The first one (default option) uses iterative technique as described in "vincgen.1" and the second one ([-t]) follows localization and size estimation techniques used for high res images as described in "vfindnod.1"

OPTIONS

if=

Attached nodule candidate gray level subimage (short image type)

ig=

Attached nodule candidate region lung parenchyma mask (byte image)

c=

a 3D coordinate of any surface voxel on the nodule

xz= (xyres,zres)

in-plane and axial resolution of the nodule candidate subimage

[r=]

nodule candidate radius estimate (in pixel units) in hypothesis generation stage

[rth=]

nodule candidate radius estimate difference threshold

[th=]

intensity threshold for iterative size and center point estimation (default technique)

[mr=]

search region radius (in pixel units) for nodule center point estimation

[-d]

save all temporary files

[-v]

selects the verbose mode to print information about intermediate results

[-w]

very verbose option (outputs all commands with their options)
