We applied 3D region growing techniques to the task of Kidney/Soft tissue segmentation. A human operator identifies seed points from which a 3x3x3 median filter is applied with various thresholds against a healthy abdominal CT-Scan. Our approach captured candidate points, which were then refined and experiment on using various pre and post processing methods. |
