Vcan is the VisionX Chest Analysis module. It contains programs to analyze low-dose whole-lung CT images.

This module is an extension of the vlan lung analysis module. The goal of the whole chest analysis is to separate the thoracic region into segmented and labeled organs. Maintaining a map of the chest will then allow extraction of one or more organs or regions of interest for specific analysis. The web accessed analysis modules generally consist of disease detection and/or visualization, such as nodule detection (vdetect) and emphysema quantitation (vemph).
