VisionX (V3) Multispectral Image Data
Alphabetical Index, [ VisionX V3 Support Index ], [ V3 Subject Index ]
Multispectral images are images in which each pixel has a vector of values. The channel parameter in the VisX file header indicates how many elements each pixel contains. Images of complex numbers contain two channels usually real and imaginary although they be be recoded using vcplx to magnitude and phase. Color images have three channels that are usually encoded as red, green and blue. Images from multispectral scanners such as the Landsat satelite may contain many more channels. A multispectral image can be constructed from a set of individual images with the combine command. An individual image or a reordering of image channels can be achieved with the extract command.
