SIMBA Standard Image Viewer Operation:

Information Control Panel


The information control panel, shown below, is displayed below the viewport image when the “Measure” button is clicked. See the SIMBA Image Viewer for image viewport information.



The buttons have the following functions:

Measurement Mode

·      Off  Turn off the measurement features

·      Point The point location will be updated each time the mouse is clicked in the image. A small box will be drawn on the image at the location of the clicked point. If a box has been defined (see below) that box (with the same dimensions) be centered on the point location.

·      Line  This requires two mouse clicks on the image. A line will be drawn between these points and the distance between the points will be reported in the Information Control Panel.

·      Box  This requires two mouse clicks on the image. A rectangular region will be drawn with the two selected points as opposing diagonal corners.

 

Measurement Information

Measurement information is reported for the current box as specified by the Box and Point modes. It is updated whenever the box size or location is modified. This information is displayed in a pop-up window.

·      Off Turn off the reporting of measurement information

·      Stat. Show the descriptive statistics of the image region covered by the current box.

·      Hist. Show a histogram of the image region covered by the current box

·      S+H Show both the statistics and the histogram covered by the current box

·      PixV Show the pixel values of the image region covered by the current box

 

Float and Show

 

The Float button toggles that the location of the reported information: wither within the control panel or in a pop-up window (default). The Show button toggles the visibility of the box or line on the displayed image.
