Brief Biography:
BS Computer Eng, 2001-2004 (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor)
MS/PhD Computer Eng, 2005-present (Cornell University)
Research Interests:
Computer vision, Biomedical image analysis
Current Research Topic:
- Vessel Diameter Tracking
Manual diameter measurement in video microscopy in vivo is time consuming
and prone to measurement error. Automatic measurement provides for
faster and more accurate tracking of vessel diameter.
- Human Airway Analysis
Many pulmonary diseases affect the dimensions of airways. By measuring
the airway dimensions to a known precision, the clinicians will be
able to better diagnose and monitor the patients.
- 3D Point Mapping on Mouse Skull Micro-CT
Physical dimensions of the mouse skull is of interest in studying how the
skull's appearance is affected by certain gene. A convenient tool is
developed for mapping a 3D point on the skull surface.
- 3D Visualization using VTK
Visualization of human anatomy is a challenging task, especially
for 3D data. An user-friendly tool for 3D rendering of human anatomy
is developed using VTK (Visualization ToolKit).
