Alberto M. Biancardi is visiting assistant professor.
He has been assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering
of the University of Pavia for 7 years.
Research Interests:
His research activities are mainly in the area of biomedical image analysis,
both 2D and 3D. He is also interested in the application of agile
methodologies to the development of object oriented software.
Other topics where he likes to delve into are:
the Unix operating system and, in particular, Linux; the realization
of applications based on dynamic contents creation by means of Java
servlets, Java Server Pages, TCL HTTPD server; XML and related technologies;
practical software engineering topics such as design patterns, UML,
development environment (e.g. Eclipse), revision control systems,...
Current Research Topic:
He is currently developing and enhancing the interactive tool used
to inspect and annotate images for the web-based system created
by Prof. Reeves to support collaborative
research programs involving image analysis and item measurements.
